Alma’s is super low-key neighborhood bar in Virgil Village specializing in cider. After planning to debut in March 2020, they were finally able to open its doors in June 2021, and since then, have built a cult following for their hard-to-find ciders, ranging from local (101 Cider House in Downtown LA) to international (many of their bottles and taps come from the UK and France). For beer drinkers, they also have some taps that include options like Mumford, Modern Times, and Coniston (UK). Alma’s is also one of the few bars in California with a traditional Czech beer faucet – a side handle tap that creates an extra-foamy pour for lagers and pils.
