Newly opened in Whittier is La Bodega Brewing, a speakeasy brewery and restaurant just off Philadelphia St. in downtown Whittier. They opened in late November with ten beers on tap, including lagers, IPAs, a blonde, and a nitro-pour stout infused with chocolate, coffee, and hot peppers. There’s an extensive food menu as well – alongside standard brewery fare like wings and fried chicken sliders, they have a whole menu of steak options (like ribeye or tomahawk) and chile colorado – Oaxacan-style braised short ribs.
