LA Beer Week 2019: Your Guide to the Best Events for #LABW11

LA Beer Week is back for 2019 and it’s bigger than ever! From Saturday, June 15th through Sunday, June 23rd, LA’s best breweries, craft beer bars, and bottle shops celebrate all things craft with awesome beer festivals, new beer releases, beer dinners, and other unique craft beer experiences.

You can browse through our LA Beer Week event listings here and filter them by your local neighborhood, but #LABW11 might be over by the time you get through it all. That’s why we compiled our top picks for the best LA Beer Week events in 2019.

Saturday, June 15th

LA Beer Week Kickoff Festival at LA Center Studios

Downtown LA, 12pm

The LA Brewer’s Guild Kickoff Festival is the signature event of Beer Week every year and this year looks to be no different. With live music, great food, and unlimited tastings from over 90 independent local & guest breweries, you’re bound to have one of your best beer days of the year. Plus, we’ll be there with our very own booth featuring our lineup of LA beer merch, so stop by and say hi! You can grab tickets here – we suggest going VIP for the best experience possible.

Sunday, June 16th

Father’s Day Carnival at Los Angeles Ale Works

Hawthorne, 12pm

There are a bunch of fun Father’s Day beer events going on around town, but our pick of the week is the Father’s Day Carnival going down at LA Ale Works in Hawthorne. They’ll have entertainment for the kids, the Dodgers/Cubs game on, plus 25 taps of their delicious beer, a Michelada bar, and special dad-themed beer slushies. Add to that a special BBQ menu from Bartz and you’ve got yourself a day! No tickets needed, so head on out and celebrate Father’s Day at LA Ale Works.

Humble Sea Dinner Pairing at Mikkeller DTLA

DTLA, 5pm

It’s not beer week unless you hit up a beer pairing dinner. This one comes to you from Mikkeller DTLA featuring the delicious yet scarce (around here) brews of Humble Sea. 4 courses, the menu looks awesome, and this is a great way to close out Father’s Day. Grab your tickets here before they sell out.

Monday, June 17th

Invitational Hazy IPA Fest 2019 at The Glendale Tap

Glendale, 6pm

Well, we had to include our own event on this list, right? We’re teaming up with Jimmy from The Glendale Tap and throwing LA’s first Invitational Hazy IPA Fest. We’ve got a killer lineup of our favorite LA breweries (as well as several notable out of town guests) bringing some of their best Hazy IPAs for you all to try out. Vote for your favorite and we’ll announce the People’s Choice Winner at the end of the night. We’ll also have our beer merch popup on-site along with food from Ribs Against the Machine. One of #LAbeer’s favorite LA Beer Week events, the Battle of the Bands, is back and features bands comprised of members from your local neighborhood breweries. And if you didn’t know, we have some pretty talented musicians in the LA brewing community! This event is always a good time and tickets are cheap, so grab them right here.

Thursday, June 20th

Battle of the Guilds at Naja’s Place

Naja’s Place, 6pm

Battle of the Guilds is back again at Naja’s Place! This is the traditional Beer Week event where the San Diego and San Francisco Guilds bring their members beers to compete against the best of our LA breweries. Spoiler alert: the home team always wins, but this is a great time to show your LA beer pride (while wearing your LA Brewers shirt, ahem ahem) and try some guest beers that don’t really ever make their way to LA. This event does get crowded and it can get difficult to order beer, so consider yourself warned. But craft beer at one of LA’s best divey beer bars right on the Redondo pier is always worth it.

Out of town breweries like Cellarmaker, Moksa, Great Notion, and Interboro along with some local favorites like State, Homage, Highland Park and more. You won’t wanna miss this.

5th Annual BFE Fest at Wolf Creek Brewery

Santa Clarita, 7pm

BFE Fest is back at Wolf Creek in Santa Clarita to feature 20+ of LA’s best “perimeter” breweries. They’ll also have live music and food trucks as well. Plus, we’ll be there with our LA beer merch popup! Grab your tickets here!
