Today Gary is tasting a very special 5-year anniversary release from 14 Cannons Brewery in Westlake Village.
This riff on their Marooner Märzen was lagered in French oak barrels to give us a complex yet approachable look at this classic German style.
The beer pours a dark amber red with aromas of caramel and vanilla mixed with bready malt notes. Those flavors follow through pretty closely on the taste, finishing crisp and dry to keep you coming back for another sip.
Pick up cans of Lost at Sea at 14 Cannons’ 5-year anniversary party going down this Saturday, Oct 15th at their taproom in Westlake Village. They’ll be pouring this beer, three other new special releases, alongside the rest of their fantastic lineup of beers, plus wine from the Club 14 wine bar, food options, live music and more.
