HiDef Brewing Co
HiDef Brewing is a new brewery and taproom located in the South Park neighborhood...
Ah, Downtown LA – one of the few truly walkable parts of Los Angeles County. And as the hub of public transportation in Southern California, this is the perfect place to come spend a day drinking too much beer. Just don’t try to drive down here – there’s no parking, and besides, you’re drinking a whole bunch of beer. These are three of our favorite places to while away the day, hitting a few breweries and bottle shops in the Historic Core of DTLA.

More InfoHiDef’s opening flew under the radar, likely because few people were leaving their house when they opened their doors in August 2020. But if you haven’t had the chance to check out this DTLA spot, walk straight down Main Street, turn right on 12th, and head inside. They’re taking big risks and making some truly fun beers here. None of them is a bigger hit than the Ostralada, a fermented michelada-style lager brewed with oyster shells.

More Info460 S Spring St | Downtown LA
More InfoNot many places allow you to buy a beer and crack it right at the bar, which is a big part of why we like Buzz Wine Beer Shop on Spring Street so much. They regularly stock local favorites like Enegren, Brouwerij West, and Paperback, but their wide selection varies greatly week-to-week. They also have a giant collection of Belgian & Dutch beers and natural wines.
