Windsor Brown’s
Windsor Brown’s is a beer bar and sandwich shop from the team behind Windsor...
We’ve highlighted the excellent craft beer scene of Northeast Anaheim before, but if you’re in sunny downtown Anaheim, you’re still in luck. This neighborhood hosts some of the best places to drink beer in all of Southern California. Whether you’re a local looking for a night out on the town, or you’re visiting the area for one of its many sporting events or concert – or even if you’re looking to decompress after a trip to Disneyland – these are some of our favorite places to drink beer in downtown Anaheim.

More InfoNew to the scene in the area in 2022 is Windsor Brown’s, a beer bar and sandwich shop from folks at Windsor Homebrew Supply. Located in Anaheim’s Center Street Promenade, Windsor’s features an all-star tap list of rare and highly sought-after breweries. You’ll find fresh kegs here from California beermakers like Cellarmaker (San Francisco), Humble Sea (Santa Cruz), and Sante Adairius (Capitola), plus top-tier national breweries like Jackie O’s (Ohio) and Oxbow (Maine). Their sandwiches are definitely something you want to get involved in, too – the habanero-based Straight Fire chicken sandwich is a big winner.

More InfoWe probably don’t need to tell you to check out Monkish, just a five minute walk from Windsor Brown’s, if you’re in the mood for great beer. So this is just a gentle reminder that Monkish in Anaheim is a supremely relaxed experience – especially if you’re used to the chaos that used to be associated with their Torrance beer releases. Co-founders Adriana and Henry Nguyen have crafted a to-be-expected killer draft list, an extremely low-key bar, and a very pleasant shaded patio at this Anaheim Packing House location.

More InfoRadiant is among the best breweries to open in Southern California in the best few years (and, we’d venture to say, in the whole state). They excel across styles, from the toastiest dunkel to the richest pastry stout, but their hazy IPAs are what have set them apart so far. Try any (and all) that are on tap. There’s usually a food truck on-site on their patio, but if there’s not, we highly recommend getting takeout from one of the great Middle Eastern restaurants nearby – might we suggest the fantastic Forn Al Hara, a Lebanese bakery with incredible cheesy flatbreads.
