Images of Rapture is a 5.1 % German-Style Dark Lager by Monkish Brewing, which is a nice break from their hazy offerings.
The beer pours a dark reddish-brown and looks unlike any Monkish beer you’ve ever seen before. On first pour, you get the expected aromas of really nice roasty, toasty caramelly sweet malt character.
On the taste, the beer drinks surprisingly crisp and clean with smooth and refreshing lager characteristics that quickly move into elevated roasty malt complexity.
